Half-timbered houses

8.95

Half-timbered houses are to be found in many places across Europe. It’s a building style you often see in Germany and England, and in Limburg in the Netherlands. The wall structure of timber-framed houses is made from wooden beams. The spaces between the beams are usually filled with wattlework, over which a mixture of loam and straw is applied.

When we go on holiday, I really enjoy the picturesque German and English villages with houses in this beautiful architectural style..
